For anyone with a professional connection to libraries, information management or knowledge management. Gives full access to CILIP's networks, resources, training and events and enables you to enroll in professional registration with CILIP

Student Membership

CILIP Student Membership is open to anyone currently studying Librarianship and Information Science or a related discipline. Students are eligible for the concessionary rate if they are studying on a course accredited by CILIP – the list of accredited courses is here: [add link when website is live]. Apprentices on the LAIS Level 3 Apprenticeship Programme are also eligible for the concessionary rate.

Certified (ACLIP) Membership

For those who already hold Certified status with CILIP. Re-join under this category to use your ACLIP designation and access member benefits.

Chartered (MCLIP) Membership

For those who already hold Chartered Member status. Re-join under this category to use your MCLIP designation and access member benefits.

Fellow (FCLIP) Membership

For those who already hold Chartered Fellow status. Re-join under this category to use your FCLIP designation and access member benefits

Employer Partner Membership

  • Non-practitioner Membership - a non-voting membership category for people who want to support and be involved in our Member Networks, but for whom CILIP membership would not be appropriate. This category is only for membership of one Special Interest Group.
  • Friend and Supporter - two non-voting donor categories, allowing CILIP to fundraise from people who wish to support our work on behalf of the library and information sector.
